Linda Ernst

Linda Ernst is a consultant and trainer, President of Training Resource, an independently owned consulting and training company.  Since 1983, she has facilitated hundreds of custom designed in-house workshops for a wide range of industrial and organizational clients.

Linda has extensive preparation in adult learning theory, workshop presentation methods, facilitation techniques and instructional design.  As an instructional design consultant, she has helped organizations develop courses in topics that include quality improvement, communication skills for managers, consulting skills for trainers, and using type dynamics to facilitate teams.  She is equally comfortable presenting training to technical, supervisory and management audiences. 

Linda facilitates group sessions for a variety of team experiences such as, staff and Board retreats, leadership team group activities, annual meetings and organization events.  Linda is a co-author of The Guide to Facilitating the Self-Discovery Process ®; co-author of Quick Guide to the 16 Personality Types and Teams, a contributing author to the Quick Guide to the 16 Personality Types in Organizations.  She is COO/Senior Faculty at Interstrength® Associates, a training and consulting company dedicated to serving individuals and organizations seeking to improve their overall functioning through more accurate self-knowledge, knowledge of others, effective communication and team work and an approved provider of MBTI Qualifying Programs. She is certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and has experience designing and facilitating workshops using the MBTI® and a variety of temperament and type assessments for personal development, management development, team building, and for trainers. 

A skilled professional development trainer, Linda facilitates work­shops in such varied topics as management development, performance appraisal, interper­sonal and business communication skills, performance management, and presentation skills. She works with a wide variety of groups from health care executive teams to first line supervisors in manufacturing settings. As a senior instructor with an internationally known company, The Training Clinic, Linda has conducted a variety of train-the-trainer workshops for over 20 years.  She is as comfortable in public workshop sessions as with in-company presentations.

Prior to becoming an independent consultant and trainer Linda’s professional experience included 16 years in hospital nursing management and education.  She is a RN and holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Management.   Linda is a dynamic presenter and course designer who stimulates participation and active group involvement.
